Objectives: Students will be able to explain why Mexico wanted independence from Spain and why many people began to call for an independent Texas as well.

Mon. Students will read and discuss Ch. 7 lesson 2 and explain the call for independence from Spain. Complete lesson 2 study guide.

Tue. Students will grade lesson 2 study guide and read and discuss lesson 3 and explain why Mexican independence was important for Texas. Complete lesson 3 study guide.

Wed. Students will grade lesson 3 study guide and complete the chapter assessment on page 183.

Thu. ETCADA

Fri. Students will grade the chapter assessment and review for the Ch. 7 Test.
